About Me
My name is Sergio Núñez. I’m a commercial and strategy leader in the energy sector with extensive experience leading businesses through growth and transformation. I have a track record of commercial delivery built on a deep understanding of the integrated energy value chain.
Before founding 8020 EDGE, I spent over 20 years with Shell, where I held senior leadership roles and led teams across regional and global markets. My experience spans strategy, B2B sales, trading, supply chain, and procurement, combining strategic direction with operational results.
As Global Head of Sustainability, Marketing & Digital, and executive board member for Shell Aviation, I scaled the Sustainable Aviation Fuel and Scope 3 Environmental Attributes businesses from inception to industry leaders.
Previously, I managed the P&L for aviation fuels in Europe and led supply chain and procurement for bitumen and sulphur across multiple regions, unlocking enterprise value through integration with manufacturing and trading.
Today, I work with companies driving the energy transition, bringing the structured thinking, commercial judgment, and leadership discipline of a corporate executive to organizations that need it on a fractional basis.
